This was given to a student to help with better thumb placement to improve stretches while playing a whole-step, whole-step pattern. This drill moves further down the fretboard which gradually increases the difficulty by making the stretch bigger and bigger. Having your thumb placed behind the guitar neck, keeping it fairly straight, and just behind where your 2nd and 3rd finger would be is how to position your thumb to make the stretch easier to achieve. CLICK HERE TO START YOUR FREE WEEK Given to a student using a B Standard Tuning Baritone Guitar, this exercise is focused on pull-offs performed on the bottom four strings. It's important to make sure you have all your fingers down in advance prior to the pull-offs. When you're going to pull-off from fret 10, to 9, to 7, you NEED all of those frets held down and ready to go in order to play the best sounding pull-offs possible. CLICK HERE TO START YOUR FREE WEEK This was given to a student, who plays in D standard tuning, to help improve his alternate picking, as well as improving his finger dexterity. This drill goes up in four note groupings, which I like to call 4-Note Coils. This is good for those new to playing things like this on guitar, because of the half note break before you move up to the position in the second half.
